Nancy Lou Drexler

Nancy Lou (Shoff) Drexler, 90, passed away peacefully November 9, 2024, in her Muhlenberg Township residence. 

She was the loving wife of Robert Augustus Drexler, with whom she shared 71 years of marriage. 

Born December 26, 1933, in Muhlenberg Township, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Margaret (Fisher) Shoff.

During her working years she was employed by AT&T for over 20 years before retiring as a senior operator.

Nancy’s main joy in life was spending time with her family and at the bungalow. 

She was the proud mother of six children: Michael Robert Drexler (1953-1959); Joanne L., wife of John Ludes of Muhlenberg Township; Debra J., wife of Tim Brickel of Muhlenberg Township; Karen Ann Yocum, wife of Joe McKee of Cumru Township; Margaret M., wife of L. James Bauer Jr., of Muhlenberg Township; and Rosalie A., wife of John F. Doerrman of Muhlenberg Township. 

Nancy was also the grandmother to twelve grandchildren: Jessica Werley, Jill Lisa Gauby (Deceased); Jeffrey Gauby, Bryan Brickel, Kelly Smith, Josh Yocum, Travis Yocum, Megan Fox, Ashley Zappacosta, Lauren Bauer, Chad Doerrman, and Cole Doerman; 18 great grandchildren and her sister, Colleen G., widow of Gary Keim of Wyomissing. 

She was also predeceased by two siblings: Patricia Nagy and Terry Shoff. 

A viewing will be held Friday, November 15, from 10-11 am at the  Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, PA 19605. 

A funeral service will follow at 11 am taking place at the Stitzel Family Funeral Home. 

Burial will be at Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. 

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Autism Society of Berks County, 704 Hay Road, Temple PA 19560.
