Pauline L. (Levengood) Lendacki

Pauline L. (Levengood) Lendacki, 99, of Sinking Spring, formerly of Oley Township, passed away peacefully the morning of May 16, 2026.

Born on October 20, 1926, in Oley Township, she was the daughter of the late Warren B. and Anna (Schlegel) Levengood.

Pauline was the beloved wife of the late Cyril J. “Sox” Lendacki, whom she married on August 5, 1950. Together they shared nearly 69 years of marriage until his passing in 2019.

A 1944 graduate of Oley Valley High School, Pauline continued her education at Kutztown State Teachers College before earning her degree in Home Economics from Mansfield State Teachers College in 1948. She devoted many years to education, serving as a Home Education teacher within the Oley Valley School system.

Faith and family were central to Pauline’s life. She was the oldest member of Friedens United Church of Christ in Oley and remained deeply connected to her church community throughout her life.

Pauline found joy in gardening, sewing, and traveling, and she especially cherished time spent with her family.

She is survived by her four children: Stephen J. Lendacki, companion of Mary Ellen Lash; Sandra E., wife of Robert S. Plenderleith; Michael J., husband of Barbara Lendacki; and Victoria A., wife of David Bristol.

She was a proud and loving grandmother to Jennifer (Pillion), wife of Jay Pantone; Marcie Lendacki; Jonathan Pillion; Codie Lendacki; Devin Plenderleith; and Travis Plenderleith. She was also blessed with five great-grandchildren, Philomena, Lawrence, Damian, Kadence, and Theodore.

In addition to her husband and parents, Pauline was predeceased by her daughter, Irene M. Lendacki, and her siblings, Marie E. Janiszewski, Daniel W. “Butch” Levengood, and Mabel S. Derr Yoder.

Services will be held Friday, May 22, at 11:00 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 423 Main Street, Oley. A viewing will be held Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township.
