Peter Michael Bandonis

Peter Michael Bandonis, 75, died Tuesday, November 16, 2021, in his Muhlenberg Township home.

He was the beloved husband, of almost 50 years, of Joy Bandonis.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Peter Paul, and Betty Jane (Boldt) Bandonis, and brother of the late D. Jane Julian.

Peter was a 1964 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School and  also graduated from Albright College in 1968 with a B.S. in physics.

He retired from IBM after 30 years as a systems engineer, and later also retired from Lancaster General Hospital where he was the Director of Planning.

He loved cars, especially his 1960 corvette. Peter also loved television, comedy movies, 50’s and 60’s music, the beach, doing yard work, riding his bicycle and feeding the birds. He had a special love for ice cream, particularly black raspberry.

In addition to his wife Joy, Peter is survived by two children, Bridget Joy, wife of Joshua Cease, Hanover, VA, and a son Peter Paul, II, husband of Haixia Bandonis, San Jose, CA. Peter is also survived by one grandchild, Makanui Bandonis, a cat Maui, a grand dog, Zurie, and a grand cat, Kona.
