Prudence G. (Leininger) Hepner

Prudence G. Hepner, 65, passed away Thursday, August 11th, 2022, in her Laureldale home.

She was the beloved wife of Russel I. Hepner, Sr..

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth L. and Wilma (Waxwood) Leininger.

Prudence was a 1975 graduate of Tulpehocken High School and attended Pace Institute, Reading.

She worked as a factory worker for most of her life in various places.

Prudence enjoyed playing bingo, going to casinos, and was fond of mountains.

She had a lot of good friends.

In addition to her husband Russel, Prudence is survived by two step children, Kelly, wife of Michael Henry, Port Clinton, and Brian K. Hepner, Laureldale. Six step grandchildren, three great step grandchildren, and three siblings: Michael W., husband of Kim R. Leininger, Laureldale; Lisa Leininger, Leesport; and James P. Leininger, Leesport, also survive her.

Prudence was predeceased by a stepson, Russel I. Hepner, Jr.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Stitzel Family Funeral Home, Reading, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
