Raymond A. Weiandt, Jr., age 89, passed away in his home on April 17, 2026,
surrounded by his loving family. Ray (also known as “Wink” or “Blackjack”) served
in the National Guard for eight years, and for a few years as a policeman with the
Fleetwood Auxiliary Police. He was employed at Allentown Cement for 45 years,
and also bartended at the Fleetwood Orioles. After retiring from the cement mill,
Ray worked at Gifts and Things and Tarsus. He had many hobbies – woodworking,
gardening, coloring, playing card and computer games, and playing Santa Claus at
Christmas time; however, his favorite pastimes included going to movies, going
out to eat (and enjoying a new beer), and spending time with his large family at
get-togethers and holidays (for which he usually filled the lawn with decorations).
Ray is predeceased by his wife of almost 61 years, Pamela “Pam” (Rightmyer)
Weiandt, and his daughter, Kay (Weiandt) Stufflet, wife of Lonnie Stufflet. He is
survived by his children, Raymond Weiandt, Sr., husband of Lori Shomper, Steven
Weiandt, husband of Jayne Weiandt, Brenda (Weiandt) Skinner, wife of John
Skinner, and Tammi Weiandt, wife of ChrisLynn Setley. He is also survived by 11
grandchildren: Ray, Jason, Scott, Steve, Seth, Lonnie, Jennifer, Sabrina, Josh,
Tiffany, and Lacey (as well as their significant others, whom he also considered his
grandchildren), and 11 great grandchildren.
Ray’s family plans to honor him with a celebration of life in a few months.
Because he always had dog treats in his pocket to give to all the neighborhood
dogs, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Animal Rescue League or
Humane Society.
