Richard M. Cleveland, 77, of Punta Gorda, and formerly of Muhlenberg Township, died February 11, 2023 in Port Charlotte, FL, with his loving wife by his side.
He was the husband of Suzanne E. (Becker) Cleveland, with whom he shared almost 56 years of marriage.
Born August 25, 1945, in Bryn Mawr, PA, he was a son of the late Ross McKinley Cleveland and Florence Louise (DeRupa) Walters.
A carpenter his entire career, Richard was a member of United Carpenter’s Union for over 23 years, had owned his own contracting business, and worked for Home Depot for a number of years.
Richard was a member of the former Christ U.C.C., Temple.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his two daughters: Tina, wife of Ernest Gring of Temple and Jodi, wife of Joseph Zaorski of Muhlenberg Township; and a stepdaughter, Sharon, wife of Kevin Haertter of Muhlenberg Township.
Other survivors include his seven grandchildren: Samantha, Emily, Kolbi, Kyle, Adam, Nikole, and Allison; and two great grandchildren, Mia and Clyde.
Also surviving is his brother, Robert Cleveland of Punta Gorda, FL; his half-brother, Ross McKinley Cleveland, Jr. of Mechanicsburg; and his half-sister, Gladys Cleveland of Crossville, TN.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 7th from 2 to 4 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 4201 Stoudt’s Ferry Bridge Road, Muhlenberg Township.
