Richard Nolan Snyder, Sr., 70, of Fleetwood, passed away Tuesday morning in his son's Hanover residence.
Born in Baltimore City, MD, he was the son of the late Kenneth Eugene William and Alice Virginia (Rosier) Snyder.
Richard was a 1972 graduate of Hereford High School.
He was the owner/operator of his own trucking company, never retiring.
Richard was always and hard worker, last working up until October 25th, 2023. He loved his cars and trucks along with his yellow t-shirts. In the last few years, Richard really enjoyed camping with his family.
He is survived by three sons: Richard Nolan Snyder, Jr., husband of Julia Snyder, Hanover; Nickalas Snyder, husband of April Snyder, Upperco, MD; and Tyler Owen Snyder, husband of Shelby Snyder, Fleetwood. Seven grandchildren: Valarie Harris; Samantha Snyder; Joshua Snyder; Gavin Snyder; Alivia Snyder; Richard N. Snyder, III, "Tre"; and Aliyah Snyder ; three great grandchildren: Brantley; Knox; and Violette; three siblings: Kenneth Snyder, Jr.; Robert Snyder; and Saundra Kincaid: many beloved nieces and nephews: and his pets: camping buddy Calvin; baby girl Mocha; and Lucy Lou also survive him.
Richard was predeceased by one brother, Thomas Snyder.
A funeral service will be held Friday, December 1st, 2023, at 1 P.M., at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes, 423 Main Street, Oley, PA 19547. Burial will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held three hours prior to the service in the funeral home at the above address from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Richard's honor to ALSAC/ St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
