Robert Nathan Bauder, 85, residing in Laureldale, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023, at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center.
He was the beloved husband of 38 years to Carol Ann (Kulp) Bauder, who died in 2001.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Warren and Elsie (Schell) Bauder.
Robert was a 1956 graduate of Reading High School, and a veteran of the U.S. Air National Guard.
Robert was employed in the roll shop at Carpenter Technology for 34 years. After retiring in 1999, he became a wood-worker, happily creating gifts for family and friends.
Robert and Carol were avid members of the Gold Wing Motorcycle Club, Reading chapter, and took many memorable trips around the United States. Robert was a huge Philadelphia sports fan.
One of Robert's fondest memories as a young boy was serving as a bat boy for the Reading Phillies for many years at the former Municipal Stadium.
Robert is survived by two daughters, Cheryl A., wife of William R. Maull, Muhlenberg Township, and Lori A., wife of Scott M. Calpino, Bernville. One grandchild, Benjamin Nathan Maull, Palmyra, also survives him, as well as two nephews and one niece.
He was predeceased by one brother, Daniel Bauder, in 1986.
