Robert William Sheetz

Robert William Sheetz, 78, passed away, Monday, May 1st, 2023, in his Boyertown residence.

Born in Rockland Township, he was the son of the late Robert A. and Ethel Florence (Madara) Sheetz.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fleetwood.

Robert was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was the owner/operator of Bob's Automatic Transmission Repair, Oley, from 1976 through 1989. He moved his business to Landis Store for ten years from 1989 to 1999. He later rented a gas station to run his business in Bowers from 1999 through 2006. In 2014 he worked at Everhart's Garage, Maxatawny Street in Boyertown, doing bench work and deliveries.

Robert loved restoring old cars.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 471 of Boyertown since he was 21 years old and the Topton American Legion, Ray Master's Post #217 for the last 30 years.

Robert is survived by a son; Marvin, husband of Lori Moyer, Boyertown; two daughters: Deborah, wife of Ronny Schadler, Rockland Township; and Diane Eline, Barto, PA. Eight siblings: Carl, husband of Georgette Sheetz, FL; Mignon, wife of Bert Seiscio, Reading; Theodore, husband of Janice Sheetz, Earl Township; Paul (deceased) husband of Tess Fegley; Cindy Sheetz, Boyertown; Brenda, widow of Fred Minner, Bally; Gail, wife of John Busse, Lititz; Jeff Sheetz, Alburtis; and Greg, husband of Holly Sheetz, Hereford Township; one half-brother; Kevin Stop, also survive him. 

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Stitzel Family Funeral Homes, Oley, has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Robert's honor to Ray A. Master American Legion, Post 217, 133 Centre Avenue, Topton, PA 19562.
