Robert Donald Smeltz

Robert D. Smeltz, 92 of West Wyomissing, passed away September 10, 2025, in his home surrounded by his loving family. 

He was the husband of the late Sara Ann Smeltz, who passed away in 2016.

Born April 22, 1933, in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Charles and Muriel (Kinsey) Smeltz.

Robert attended Reading High School. He was employed by Acme Markets for 43 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. 

In his younger years Robert enjoyed calming at the beach. 

Surviving is his son: Barry L, husband of Joy Smeltz of West Wyomissing; grandchildren: Chad L., husband of Jacqueline B. Smeltz of Sinking Spring and Tamra L. Fisher of Sinking Spring. Great Grandchildren: Hayden Pokrywa and Sophia, Myla and Nolan Smeltz. 

In addition are his brother: Richard, husband of Elaine Smeltz of Allentown and brother-in-law and sister-in-law: John and Alma Felix of Topton, PA.

A graveside service will be held September 18th at 11am at the Laureldale Cemetery.
