Robert Wolfgang

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Wolfgang on the morning of March 14, 2024. He was the loving husband of Gail (Harper) for 53 years. He was born December 16, 1949, and was a son to the late Walter and Emma Wolfgang.

Bob was a dairy farmer for many years and had worked for Knoll International until suffering injuries in a farm accident in 1998. He was a graduate of Boyertown Area High School and was active in FFA, serving as president. In past years he was a member of the Montgomery County Farm Bureau, Montgomery County DHIA, and Montgomery County Holstein Association.

An avid fan of Penn State football, the Eagles and the Phillies, he never gave up hope for a championship. He also loved attending the activities of his children and grandchildren, including music, sports, and 4-H and FFA events.  He especially enjoyed attending many local fairs to watch the dairy competitions. He was very proud of all of them.

In addition to his wife, Gail, he is survived by children: Amy Templin [Christopher] of Birdsboro; Brenda Wolfgang, and partner, Rhonda LaVaque of Middleburg, Florida; Seth Wolfgang of Bechtelsville; and Karen Sterner [Jonathan] of Barto. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Abby Freeberg [Micah] of Phoenixville; Ethan Sterner of Barto and fiancé Sydney Trimbur of Oley; Colby Templin; and Allyson Templin of Birdsboro and a great granddaughter, Sadie Freeberg, all of whom brought so much joy to his life.

He is also survived by his two sisters, Jane Johnson of Bechtelsville, and Arlene Wolfgang of Douglassville.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Stafford and her husband John, and by his brother-in-law Fredrick Johnson.

Services will be held Thursday, March 21st at 11:30 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Home, 423 Main St. Oley, PA 19547. A visitation will be held from 10:30-11:30 a.m.  Burial will be in Hill Church Cemetery.
