Ronald Philip Tobias, 88, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away peacefully, on July 1, 2025 at Keystone Villa at Fleetwood, surrounded by his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret L. (Stout) Tobias, who died June 10, 2024.
Born July 9, 1936, in Reading, he was a son of the late Philip DeHaven Tobias and E. June (Rader) Tobias.
Ron was a 1955 graduate of Reading High School.
He was employed as a metallurgist with Carpenter Technology for 37 ½ years, retiring in 1999.
Ron was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.
An avid baseball fan, “Coach T” served as Vice President of MTAA and was a volunteer coach for the Muhlenberg High School baseball team from 1998-2017.
He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and enjoyed going to the beach and Disney World.
Surviving is his son, Daryl S., husband of Mary E. Tobias of Muhlenberg Township.
Other survivors include his granddaughters, Allison N. Erb, wife of Darrin W. and Megan E. Tobias, fiancé of Taylor Cesarz; and two great grandchildren, Ethan W. Erb and Mackenzie E. Erb.
Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Tobias, and his sister, Joan Guldin.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 7 p.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m.
