Ruth Gallagher, 65, of Maidencreek Township, died February 9, 2024, at Tower Health – Reading Hospital, West Reading.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey Leo Gallagher in 2022.
Born June 3, 1958 in Temple, she was a daughter of the late Harold David and Sarah Jane (Schweitzer) Williams.
Ruth was a 1976 graduate of Oley Valley High School.
She was employed on the finish line at East Penn Manufacturing, where she worked for almost 20 years, retiring in 2017.
She was an avid crocheter and enjoyed watching YouTube videos on the outdoors, cooking and crocheting.
Surviving are her two children: Claude Kline III, and Sarah Gallagher, both of Maidencreek Township and Step Daughter Jessica Dietrich, husband of William Dietrich of Fleetwood.
Other survivors include her five grandchildren: Nicole L. Hughes, Madison P. Dietrich, Hunter W. Dietrich, Carter R. Smith, and Gavyn R. Smith.
In addition, she is survived by her two brothers, Jacob Williams of Temple and David Williams of Milton, VT.
Ruth was also preceded in death by her sister, Alma Long.
A viewing will be held Friday, February 16th, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 423 Main Street, Oley.
A graveside service will be held Friday, February 16th at 12:30 p.m. at Salem Shalter Cemetery, 2032 Mount Laurel Road, Fleetwood.
