Ruth Eleanor Gauby, 99, of Fleetwood, passed away March 29, 2021 in Maidencreek Place. She was the wife of Gerald George Gauby, who passed away April 30, 2020.
Born June 8, 1921 in Reading, she was the daughter of the late George John and Catherine Elizabeth (Seidel) Ream.
Ruth worked in many clothing factories throughout the years. Ruth was known for cooking her tasty Pennsylvania Dutch dishes such potato filling and sausage stew. She enjoyed spending time with her family, attending exercise classes with her sister June and watching reruns of classic television shows with her husband Gerald.
She is survived by her daughters: Nancy, wife of the late Charles Laity of Fleetwood and Judy, wife of Larry Readinger of Douglassville. Grandchildren: Stacy LaPlante, Cory Laity, Beth Buck and Chad Laity. Great Grandchildren: Tiffany Kennedy, Ashley Martin, Jessica Lamborne, Chloe Laity, Jalynn Laity and Marli Laity. Also surviving are her 5 great great grandchildren.
In addition are her sisters: June McKently of Fleetwood and Betty Snyder of Temple.
She was preceded in death by her brothers; John, Dick, Ronald, George and Jack.
A graveside memorial service will be held Monday April 5, 2021 at 11:30 am at Spies Zion Cemetery.
