Ruth M. Yerger

Ruth Marie Yerger, 90, of Leesport, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Berks Heim, Bern Township. Born September 18, 1930 in Millcreek Township, Ruth was the daughter of the late Herbert and Helen (Ressler) Rahn.

Ruth retired in 1989 from Exide after working for 13 years and previously for 9 years at Luden’s. She was a hairdresser by trade graduating from Bryland Beauty School.

She is survived by her 4 children: Darlene Lee Wilcox of Laureldale, PA; Kelsey G. Yerger, husband of Melissa (Cummings),Cincinnati, OH; Cynthia L. Mersinger, wife of David of Reading, PA; and Donna M. May, wife of Carl R. Harter of Muhlenberg Township. Also surviving are her seven grandchildren, Zachary May, Brittni May, Wesley Mersinger, Logan Yerger, Tyler J. Mersinger, Sydney Meyer, and Paige Newton and three great grandchildren; Liam May, Taylor May, and Rocco Anthony Mersinger who will greatly miss her.

 Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
