Sandra Ann "Cookie" Miller, 81, passed away Wednesday, May 17th, 2023, at The Lutheran Home at Topton, where she resided since 2015.
Born January 18th ,1942, in Rockland Township, Sandra was the daughter of the late Earl Paul and Sallie Anna "Gannie" (Breidegam) Sanders. She was the widow of Robert Walter Miller who she married February 6th, 1960.
Sandra was a 1959 graduate of Brandywine High School.
She was a member of Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, Dryville.
Sandra was employed as a beautician, working out of her home for 55 years, retiring in 2015.
She loved to bake, crochet, listening to country music, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Sandra is survived by three children: Kim R., husband of Dale (Kayhart) Miller, Mertzown; Kalyn H. (Miller), wife of Kevin Smith, Topton; and Kyle E., husband of Tracey (Raunzahn) Miller, Kempton. Seven grandchildren: Justin Miller, husband of Kelly; Casey Miller, husband of Amanda; Alexis (Miller), wife of Timothy Kitson; Dylan Smith; Jocelyn Miller; Collin Miller; and Meghan (Smith) Quier, wife of Jonathan: seven great grandchildren; and three siblings: Fay (Sanders), widow of Stephen Marko; Janet (Sanders), widow of Larry Swoyer; and Deane (Sanders), wife of Joel Smith, also survive her.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Kelly F. Miller, and two grandchildren: Rachel Miller, and Zachary Smith.
Sandra's family would like to give special thanks to The Lutheran Home at Topton's staff for all of their excellent care over the years.
A funeral service will be held Monday, May 22nd, 2023, at 10 A.M., at Henry Auditorium at the Lutheran Home at Topton, 1 South Home Avenue, Topton, PA 19562. Burial will follow at Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery, Dryville. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 9 A.M. to 10 A.M. at the address above. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Sandra's honor to Autism Speaks, P.O. Box 37148, Boone, IA 50037-0148.
