Scott Willson Bortz Fisher, 81, of Amity Township, passed away peacefully on the evening of March 2, 2025, at the Pottstown Hospital.
He was the loving and devoted husband of the late Kathryn Rebecca (Morgan) Fisher, who preceded him in death on June 4, 2010. Together, they shared 43 years of marriage filled with dedication and cherished memories.
Born on June 3, 1943 in Exeter Township, Scott was the son of the late Clarence Elwood and Grace Mildred (Bortz) Fisher. He grew up on a farm where he held many responsibilities until joining the work force.
Scott spent 48 years working at Marvin C. Miller Demolition in Exeter Township, where he was a valued member of the team until his retirement in 2018. He was a skilled laborer who easily developed many friendships within his work community.
As a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Spangsville, Scott found solace in the teachings from his faith. Outside of his work, Scott was a true outdoorsman. He loved spending time fishing in the deep sea, boating, hunting, gardening, camping, and enjoying the beach. His dedication to provide for his family was admirable. He also had a special fondness for his beloved pets, who brought him great joy throughout his life.
Scott is survived by his four children: Paul R. Houck, husband of Sherri (Welch), of Ravena, NY; Michael J. Houck, husband of Lisa G. (Clouse) Houck, of Amity Township; Lisa A. (Houck), wife of David Morganti, of Exeter Township; and Donna M. (Fisher), wife of Robert F. Richards, of Collegeville.
Also surviving are his ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, all of whom brought immense pride and happiness to his life.
In addition, Scott is survived by his sister, Nancy M. (Fisher) Miller, widow of Harold, of Exeter Township; and his brother, Richard D. Fisher, husband of Sandra (Beavens), of Orwigsburg, Schuylkill County.
Services will be held on Friday, March 7th, at 11 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 423 Main Street, Oley. A viewing will take place from 10-11 a.m. before the service. Burial will follow at Oley Cemetery, Spangsville.
