Shirley Virginia (Eckert) Cirulli passed away peacefully at home where she resided with her daughter and son-in-law in Muhlenberg Township on January 4, 2024.
Formerly of Temple, Shirley was the widow of Frank Cirulli, who passed away July 29, 2002. They were married 52 years.
Born in Jacksonwald on February 23, 1930, she was a daughter of Samuel and Sadie (Nittinger) Eckert. She later attended the one room schoolhouse with her siblings.
Shirley was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Reading.
She was employed at Crystal Brands, Reading for many years until her retirement.
Shirley enjoyed being with her family and most of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter Margaret Moyer (husband Jay) of Muhlenberg Park, son John Cirulli (wife Eileen) of Temple and a daughter Lori Marrinucci of Muhlenberg Park.
There are 3 grandchildren whom she adored: Joshua (wife Karyn) Cirulli; Andrew (wife Alison) Marrinucci, and Jena (husband Barry) Beal, and 6 great grandchildren, who were her bright and shining stars: Brighton and John Cirulli; Roman, Siena, and Maya Marrinucci, and Santino Beal.
Shirley was predeceased by 9 siblings: Dorothy M. St. Clair, William C. Eckert, Lloyd E. Eckert, Fern F. Kloeffel, Donald I. Eckert, Earl W. Eckert, Arthur L. Eckert, Richard W. Eckert, and Charlotte L. Eckert.
The family wishes to thank Tower Health Hospice, especially nurse Mary Galantino for her compassionate care, and caregivers, Christine, Shannon, and Chrissy for the loving care they gave to our mom.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, January 10th from 9:30 - 10:30 am in Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:00 am in Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Reading, PA 19605.
Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church at the above address.
