Shirley Wilmina Pauley, 92 formerly of Reading, passed away January 23, 2024 in the Mifflin Center, Cumru Township.
She was married September 10, 1949 to the late Charles Kenneth Pauley, Sr. (1930 -2000).
Born April 21, 1931 in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late George Oliver Koller and Wilmina (Schweitzer) Koller Giamo.
Shirley attended Fairview Mennonite Church, Reading.
She was employed by the Governor Mifflin Plaza as the head custodian for 20 years, retiring in 2000.
Shirley was a member of the Berks Pigeon Associations, where she held the positions of recording secretary and club treasurer.
She enjoyed racing pigeons; ran field trial beagles; gardening; and reading her bible daily, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children: Irene D., wife of Harry Gephart; and Kenneth A., husband of Krista Pauley.
She was the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren: Sharlyn Leinbach, Paige Hughes, Justin Pauley, Joshua Pauley, Jeremy Pauley, Nicole Stevens, and the late Nathan Pauley, who died in 2011.
Other survivors include 16 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
Her former daughter-in-law, Robin L. (Hole) Pauley, also survives her.
She was preceded in death by a son: Charles “Chuck” K. Pauley Jr. (1955 - 1999).
Shirley was also predeceased by her two younger siblings; Kenneth Koller, husband of Dolly and Delores Gloria “DeeDee” (Koller) Fahmauer.
A viewing will be held Friday, February 2nd from 6-8 pm in the Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 423 Main Street, Oley, PA.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 3rd at 11 am in Spies-Zion Cemetery, 318 Spies Church Road, Reading, PA 19606, .
