Stephen Nicholas Fayewicz, 67, passed away, Sunday, July 24th, 2022, in his Exeter Township residence, surrounded by his loving family, following a year and a half battle with cancer.
He was the beloved husband of Sandra C. (Hepp) Fayewicz who were married 36 and a half years.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late John Sr and Arlene Mae (Horst) Fayewicz.
Stephen was a graduate of Reading High School, Class of 1973.
He was employed as a welder/fabricator, of which was a source of enjoyment and pride, for many years at O2 Systems, Birdsboro.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, a good steak, hunting, and making his mother’s cut-out Christmas cookie recipe each season. Additionally, he loved German Shorthaired Pointers, many of which were his companions over the past 25 years.
In addition to his wife Sandra, Stephen is survived by his children, Kaley A. Fayewicz, Exeter Township; Nickolas W., husband of Mandee R. Fayewicz, Muhlenberg; Sara A. Werner, partner of Steven D., Exeter Township; and four grandchildren, Caroline, Jameson, Cadence, and Zachary. Two siblings also survive him, John Fayewicz Jr, Georgia, and Carolyn A. Weaver, Alaska.
The family thanks the nurses and staff at the Reading Hospital and Tower Heath at Home Hospice, who took care of Stephen for many weeks and days preceding death.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
