Stephen William Liptak, Jr., of Union Township, died August 6, 2022.
He was the loving husband of Diane M. (Fiskaldo) Liptak, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage.
Born November 11, 1935, in Reading, he was a son of the late Stephen William Liptak, Sr. and Dorothy C. (Reinert) Liptak.
Stephen was a graduate of Reading High School.
He was employed as a welder with American Crane; then, American and Meridian Banks in maintenance and later security, and lastly as a school security guard with Daniel Boone High School.
Stephen enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching old movies and listening to old music, and watching Jeopardy.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his two sons: Christopher A. Liptak of Blandon and Kevin A. Liptak of Birdsboro.
In addition, he is survived by his grandson, Oscar D. Liptak, and by his brother, Richard, husband of Dorothy Liptak of Temple, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Stephen was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Liptak, and by his sister, Bettylou Bryant.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, August 11th at 10 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Reading. A visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
