Sylvia Maude (Ibbs) Harrison

Sylvia Maude (Ibbs) Harrison, 84, formerly of West Chester, passed away peacefully,  September 19, 2024 at Laureldale Nursing & Rehabilitation.

Born June 21, 1940, in Newtown Square, PA, she was a daughter of the late Gerald and Erna (Selbach) Ibbs.

She was a 1959 graduate of Marple Newtown High School.  She then furthered her education and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Ursinus College and earned her nursing degree from Cornell University.

Sylvia was employed as a registered nurse and was employed as a worker’s compensation nurse.

She enjoyed going to the beach, especially in Avalon, NJ; loved to garden rose bushes and tomato plants, and loved to play bridge.

Surviving is her daughter: Heather (Harrison) Murray of Boyertown; her grandchildren, Ellie, Evan, and Adam Murray.

In addition, surviving is her sister, Ingrid Fuller of McCormick, SC.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 28th at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church,45 N. Reading Ave., Boyertown, PA 19512.  A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. in the church.
