Terry Leon Ernst

Terry Leon Ernst, Sr., 78, of Laureldale, died June 26, 2023, at Penn State Health – St. Joseph, Bern Township.

He was the loving husband of Lucille (Ulrich) Ernst with whom he shared 57 years of marriage.

Born September 2, 1944, in Reading, he was a son of the late Leon C. and Anna M. (Sewell) Ernst.

Terry was a 1962 graduate of Reading High School.

He was employed as a truck driver for 30 years, last working with Windsor Service.

Terry was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Reading.

Surviving are his three children: Randy L., husband of Maria (Feliciano) Price of Blandon; Terry L. Ernst, Jr., husband of Nancy (Kinzer) Ernst; and Jeffrey S. Ernst, partner of Melissa Foose of Fleetwood.

Also surviving is his sister: Linda S. (Ernst), wife of Paul Heckman of Shoemakersville. 

There are also six grandchildren: Kayla, Jeffrey, Helena, Colton, Alana, Chad, and Moses and three great grandchildren, Alyssa, Hailie, and Justine.

Terry was preceded in death by three siblings: Ronald E. Ernst, Shirley A. (Ernst) Julliano, and Karen G. (Ernst) Bozart.

Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale.  A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m.  Burial will follow at Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
