Terry Marshall “Tip” Heffner, Sr., 90, of Temple, died June 8, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the loving husband of Judith Ann (Hartberger) Heffner, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.
Born August 20, 1935, in Reading, he was a son of the late John Marshall and Lyndall Marie (Rice) Heffner.
Tip was a 1953 graduate of Muhlenberg High School. He then went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army for two years.
He was employed as a truck driver with 7-Up for 17 years and Mary McIntosh for 10 years, retiring in 1997.
Tip enjoyed rooting on the Phillies, the Eagles, and especially all his grandchildren at their sporting events, and was equally proud of their academic achievements. In his down time, he loved having beers on his patio and welcomed anyone who wanted to join him.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Surviving, in addition to his wife, Judy, are his three children: John M. Heffner, husband of Lisa (Curry) Heffner of Monroe, GA; Lisa M. (Heffner), wife of Garry Brake of Las Cruses, NM; and Terry M. Heffner, Jr., husband of Susan (Michalski) Heffner of Temple.
In addition, he is survived by his five grandchildren: John M. Heffner, Jr., Taylor L. Heffner, Jeremy M. Slimmer, Alaina M. Heffner, and Luke J. Heffner; and his four great grandchildren: Tripp, Jesslyn, Elizabeth, and Elijah.
He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Tip was preceded in death by his three sisters: G. Dawn Griffith, Jacqueline M. Frick, and Janet L. Wolf.
Viewings will be held on Sunday evening from 5-6:30 and Monday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 15, 2026, at 12 p.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale.
Burial will follow services, with military honors, at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
