Theodore E. Sheetz Sr., 75, of Boyertown, passed away Friday, August 29, at his residence.
He was the loving husband of Janice (Eshbach) Sheetz whom he married February 23, 1983.
Born August 24, 1950, he was the son of the late Robert Sheetz and Ethel (Madara).
Theordore attended Brandywine High School. He served in the Vietnam War and was a proud army veteran who was happy to serve his country honorably. After returning home he worked as a mechanic in several different auto shops. He then worked in maintenance for Bally Ribbon Mill for 23 years, retiring in 2012.
In his free time he loved to work on cars and motorcycles, especially his Dodge cars. Theodore would also rebuild street rods and enjoyed taking rides on his motorcycle. He was also a member of the Topton Legion and the Legion Riders Post 217 Topton.
He is survived by two children, Scott Sheetz, husband of Wendy (Miller) of Temple, and Theodore Sheetz Jr., husband of Michelle (Shields) of Boyertown.
There are two grandchildren surviving, Desiree Sheetz and Mark Sheetz.
Theodore is also survived by seven siblings: Carl Sheetz, husband of Georgette (Butcher) of Naples, Florida; Mignon Seiscio, wife of Bert of Reading; Cindy Sheetz of Boyertown; Brenda Minner of Bally; Gail Busse, wife of John of Lititz; Greg Sheetz, husband of Holly (Frey) of Barto; and Jeff Sheetz of Macungie.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Robert Sheetz (2023), and Paul (Tom) Sheetz (2022)
A service will be held Saturday, September 6, at 11 am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bechtelsville. A visitation will be held prior from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the same location. Burial will follow at Bechtelsville Cemetery.
Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc, Oley, is in charge of arrangements.
