Theresa “Terry” E. Melley, 80, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away June 15, 2025, at Tower Health Reading Hospital.
Born May 28, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Robert Vernetti and Mary (Costentino) Vernetti.
She was the loving partner of John Eline Jr. who passed away in 2006.
Terry was a 1963 graduate of Central Catholic High School. After finishing school she went on to work in banking and later moved into sales where she worked for Delaware Valley SafeGuard for a majority of her career. When Terry finished with sales she worked for Exide battery in the accounting department.
In Terry’s free time she enjoyed going to the casino, decorating the house, cooking and entertaining family and friends. When she found time she loved watching cooking shows and being creative with new meals and pastries.
Surviving are two children, Michael Melley, fiancé of Nicole (D’Onofrio) Melley of Muhlenberg Township and James “Jim” Melley, husband of Debrah (Glass) Melley of Palm Coast, Florida.
She is also survived by one sister, Sandy Stephan, wife of Charles Stephan of Muhlenberg Township. Their children, Jeremy Stephan, Zachary Stephan, and Deanna, wife of Patrick Morrissey.
Other survivors include: Kelly (Eline), wife of Ralph G. Gagliano; John Eline, husband of Lisa (Huff) Eline; Robert Eline, husband of Ellen (McCahon) Eline; and Chad Eline.
Terry is predeceased by a daughter, Colleen Marie Melley who passed away in 1989.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 10 am at St. George Chapel Gethsemane Mausoleum.
