Thomas E. Lotz, 83, of Alsace Township, died February 18, 2025, at Penn State Health – St. Joseph.
He was the loving husband of Virginia M. (Bernhart) Lotz, whom he married on June 17, 2006.
Born August 9, 1942, in Reading, he was a son of the late Elwood Lotz and Jeannette E. (Lengel) DeLong.
Thomas was a 1961 graduate of Pottstown High School.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Thomas was employed as a scrap trader and salesman with various companies, including Mayer Pollock, Luria Brothers, and Morris Iron for over 50 years.
He enjoyed fishing, boating, and golfing. His happy place was fishing in Canada, with his friends.
Thomas was a former member of Delaware Valley Bassmasters, Black Rock Boat Club, and Reading Country Club.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his two children, Jeff Lotz (Shannon) of Collegeville and Jeanette Roberts (Alex) of Phoenixville; and his stepdaughter, MaeBeth.
Also surviving are his five grandchildren: Evan, Breck, Cullen, Crew, and Bo; and his six step grandchildren.
Thomas was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Sara.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
