Tom Sweet, aged 55, a Christian, father, educator, residing in Douglassville, Pennsylvania, passed on to his Heavenly Home on April 14, 2023, having died from Prostate Cancer. Having committed his life to Christ, he relied on the shed blood of Jesus to carry him to his eternal home.
Tom grew up in Havertown with his parents Bob & Carol Sweet, as well as his brother Don and sister Sharon. He obtained his undergraduate degree to teach history from Kutztown University at the start of his 16 year PA Army National Guard career.
In 1990, he met his wife, Wendy, at Innabah Program Center, where he had spent his childhood summers. Married in 1992, Tom and Wendy shared their love of the Lord with their "kids" leading a youth group in Havertown before Tom went onto pursue his master's degree in education from Widener University.
Most recently, Tom landed a permanent position at Daniel Boone Area school district teaching computers. His love for his students was evident every day in the classroom and the hallways.
An exemplary father to his two beautiful daughters, Ella and Zoe, Tom loved nothing more than to spend time with family watching the Packers.
