Willard Burton Hafer, 91, of Oley, died October 15, 2021 in Berkshire Center, Exeter Township.
He was the husband of Anna Larue (Cleaver) Hafer to whom he was married 65 years on April 14, 1956.
Born on the family farm in Exeter Township, PA on July 24, 1930, he was a son of the late Mahlon L., and Arlene (Merkel) Hafer.
Willard attended Exeter High School.
He was a member of Frieden’s United Church of Christ, Oley.
Willard was employed as a bottler with both the Reiffton Dairy and later with Clover Farms Dairy before retiring in 1992.
He loved working on hit and miss engines, attending local car shows, and enjoyed dirt track racing.
Along with his wife, Willard is also survived by a son, Barry Lee Hafer of Oley.
He was predeceased by a son and daughter-in-law: Terry A., and Bonnie A. (Buch) Hafer on May 21, 2021.
Willard was the proud grandfather of three grandchildren: Matthew A., husband of Kimberly (Helms) Hafer of Exeter Township; Hillary Ann (Bratz), wife of Kenneth Steinly, Jr., of Shoemakersville; and Tiffany Ann (Hafer), wife of Justin Ollar of Exeter Township.
There are also seven great grandchildren: Jacob, Kayla, Cheyenne, Cody, Charlee, Colt, and Ella.
He was predeceased by his four siblings: Lillian Wentzel, Robert Hafer, Florence Bitting, and Floyd Hafer.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Berkshire center for their compassionate care they gave to Willard during his time as a resident there.
A viewing will be held Friday, October 22nd from 10:00 – 11:00 am in Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 423 Main Street, Oley, with services beginning at 11:00 am.
Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
