Willard Miller Koch, 93, formerly of Sassamansville, died February 3, 2025. He had been living at Frederick Living in Ziglersville, PA.
He was the widower of Betty (Bright) Koch, who died October 7, 1987.
Born May 19, 1931, he was a son of the late Wayne Bauman Koch and Ella Miller Koch,.
Willard was employed at Bethlehem Steel, Pottstown, and after retiring, worked for Boyertown School District as a bus driver.
He was a longtime member of Sassamansville Fire Company.
Willard enjoyed fishing in Canada, where his family vacationed annually, hunting, and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his two children: Bernice, wife of Mark Hoch of Oley Township and Bruce, husband of Robin (Conrad) Koch of Montgomery Township.
He was the proud grandfather of five grandchildren: Jarred, Brandon, Daryl, Denise, and Lisa; and nine great grandchildren: Evan, Jonas, Paige, Kendall, Delaney, Chase, Addy, Kaiya, Arianna, and Ashley.
In addition, he is survived by his two sisters, Grace and Jeanette, and his brother, Sonny.
He will also be sadly missed by his dear friend, Carol, and her dog, Pudgy.
Willard was preceded in death by his brother, Lester, and sister, Virginia.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 12 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1809 Hoffmansville Road, Sassamansville, PA 19472. A viewing will be held from 10:30 a.m. – 12 noon in the church. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, at the above address.
