William "Bill" Francis Ondich, 80, of Laureldale, passed away peacefully June 14, 2024 in his home with his loving family by his side. He was born November 4, 1943 in Pittsburgh and was a 1961 graduate of West Deer High School, Allegheny County. Bill was an Army Veteran serving his country proudly from 1961-1964. He was employed by Western Electric, Baltimore, MD transferring then to Agere in Reading PA, and finally retiring after 37 years in 2001 as a senior operator. Bill was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Catholic Church. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren whom he always tried to sneak money to. He enjoyed playing cards, bingo and golf. He once had a hole-In-One at Pleasant Hills Golf Course.
Bill was the son of the late Andrew and Ruth (Grimpe) Ondich. He was the loving husband of Ronna Lee (Pedrick) Ondich and they were married for 44 years and had two beautiful children. Surviving in addition to his wife are his two children: Angela Dawn, wife of Jon Yorgey of Birdsboro and David Glenn, husband of Brittany (Grube) Ondich of Lower Macungie. His Grandchildren: Kaiden James Yorgey, Liliana Adison Yorgey, Makenna Louise Ondich and Savanna Lee Ondich. His siblings: Andrew John, husband of Eileen (Ladish) Ondich; Ruthann M. Ondich and Donna Helen, wife of Dennis Gaggini. Also survived by a host of other loving family members and dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, July 9 at 11am at Holy Guardian Angels Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A visitation will be held from 10-11am am in the church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
