Harold R Eddinger

Harold R Eddinger, 88, of Exeter Township, died March 23, 2017 in Amity Place, Douglassville, PA.

He was the husband of Edna Mae (Schaeffer) Eddinger and they were married on October 4, 1952.

Born in Oley Township, Berks County on August 2, 1928, he was a son of the late Paul and Estella (Rhoads) Eddinger.

Harold served with the United States Army during the Korean War.

He was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church and was on their dart team and “chow-chow” committee. He was a 1946 graduate of Oley High School.

Harold retired in 1993 from the Boyertown Oil Company.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved to be outdoors.                                            

Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughter Shelly E wife of David K. Seagers of West Chester and his granddaughter Kirsten Anne.                                                                         

He was preceded in death by his brothers Leon, Ralph and his sisters Grace, Mildred, Evelyn, Edith and Rhea.

Services will be held Tuesday, March 28 at 11:00 am in Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 325 Covered Bridge Road, Oley, PA 19547. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services in the Church.

Burial with full Military Honors will be in Oley Cemetery.
