Gloria M. (Hoster) Monde

Gloria M. (Hoster) Monde, 84, died September 19, 2017 in her Cumru Township residence.

She was married April 23, 1949 to Gerald R. Monde, who died June 19, 2008.

Born in her Cumru Township residence on May 6, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Reuben E. and Grace E. (Geibel) Hoster.

Gloria enjoyed flea markets, crossword and jigsaw puzzles but most of all, family trips to the Jersey shore.

Her kindness, generosity and caring way will be with us forever.

Gloria’s home was always open and everyone was welcome.

She was the loving mother to five children:  Lois A., wife of Marek Kosiba of Cumru Township; Gloria M. Monde, widow of Henry Guevin of Temple; Michael R. Monde of Maryland; Theresa L., wife of Jeffrey Natale of Muhlenberg Township and Antoinette M. Desjardins of Exeter Township.

Gloria was also a grandmother to six grandchildren: Charlene, Melissa, Dante, Alexandra, Averi and predeceased by Andrew.

There are also two great grandchildren: Vanessa and Dominic.

She is survived by two siblings: Raymond, widower of Virginia Hoster of Meyerstown and Catherine L. Bender of Reading and predeceased by four siblings: Robert Hoster, LeRoy Hoster, Betty Krick and Marilyn Wixon.

Memorial Services will be held Monday, September 25th at 11:00 am in Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale.

A visitation will be held Monday from 10:00 am until time of services.

Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
