Mary Elizabeth Hill

Mary Elizabeth Hill, 94, of Rockland Township, passed away October 26, 2017 in her daughter’s Pike Township residence.

Born December 26, 1922 in Richmond Township, she was a daughter of the late Frederick S. and Mary Jane (Williams) Hill.

She was a graduate of Fleetwood High School and attended Kutztown College for 2 years.

Mary was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps, in which she served during World War II.

A beautician for many years, she also was the owner and operator of Mary E. Hill Real Estate, Reading for over 25 years. She retired from CNA Insurance Company, where she did clerical work for 7 years.

She loved attending the opera, was an animal lover and enjoyed traveling in her younger years, with her sister. Above all, however, she loved spending time with her family.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Linda L. (Veach), widow of Jonathan E. Beasley of Pike Township; her three grandchildren, Alicia Levan, Christopher, husband of Elizabeth Beasley and Steven, husband of Tracie Beasley and five great grandchildren: Logan, Ella, Jack, Maddyx, and Adler.

She was predeceased by her six siblings: Paul, Wayne, Ralph, Miles James and Grace Hottenstein.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., Oley is in charge of arrangements.
